Foundational Changes

"Foundational Changes" is a description of half of what Kal's School does. It is the part where the person begins freeing themselves, opening up to life, doing early cultivation and begins to understand that they have power over what their talents and successes are as well as what they create for themselves in their life. Foundational Changes are what make the rest possible: the excellence, the harmony and peace with life as well as the iconiclastic potential of the individual. That is to say, if you are not easily slipping forth into greatness in your category of interest, and you want to, you need to make foundational changes first, then create the programs of high success, then learn the tools. Anything else is just backwards!

The Ancient and Modern Plague: Addiction

Whatever we were inspired to have attraction for, we can only fuel that fire, or create new attraction by familiarity.

We are all dependent on familiarity. Anyone, from any walk of life, in any part of life only manages to maintain his/her tastes by familiarity. There is also about a 10% contribution of association (i.e. something is associated with a feeling you like or a good time you once had). When it comes to aversion, it will only remain undesirable as long as it is labeled in your mind as unfamiliar and unlike you.

Thus when we take on something like addiction, we must appreciate how important it is to gently or aggressively discipline our thoughts to make something unfamiliar and another thing familiar.

The result will be power over the addiction. The extension of this is that you get to change what you like and what you love and what you understand to those things that serve you!

No one is one thing. Every person can not only change, but be deleriously happy with the new version of him/her self. Sometimes we act like the only answer to addiction is to live in constant self denial. True, escape from addiction includes a little of that, but by and large it is about changing what you love and what is indulgence for you. You do not have to miss the old you or your old tastes or your old indulgences or your old lusts.

Since gaining this understanding, I lost some of the appreciation I have for people who just act like victims when presented with a different lifestyle that will serve them more. I hear people announce that they are this and they like that and do not like such and so.

I had an acquaintance tell me that he just really liked a good ice cream cone, so he could not possibly follow the dietary program I recommended. He later got arrested for sexual abuse. I wonder if he exercised the same victim-mentality when he first thought about that act: "Hmm, I just really like entertaining this thought, I think I will keep it around." It became familiar and then it became something he could do. Then he did it. Then he got arrested.

At first, he was incapable of such an act.

This is a health newsletter appendage and I suppose I should anchor myself to that end. Let me just say that there is no food so toxic that it is more harmful than addiction. Addiction is a heavy burden that takes all the luster out of life and makes even having a healthy body and a happy life completely unsatisfying (if not impossible).

No amount of cleansing will help diseases caused by addiction.

That is not to say cleansing and good diet will not help addiction. They will help because they will help you to let go of old patterns and increase in awareness. Soon, if you are willing, you can have the power to catch yourself doing what you are really doing. You can be completely aware of it. This power is unique to those who eat lots of live/raw plant food and who cleanse regularly.

Even so, that person who cleanses and eats a healthy diet will find that s/he still needs more help to overcome addiction. Sometimes the very obsession with health can be a way of self-medicating away the pains of addiction. This is where one announces to him/herself, "How great I am and how foolish others are for not following this wise plan. I must be okay." This helps offset the deep emptiness caused by addiction.

Addiction can be anything from a simple food addiction or addiction to negativity or gossip and can progress all the way to addictions that destroy families or that lead to criminal acts. There are some addictions that are grosser, but the actual process of addiction is exactly the same for whatever the addiction is.

Thus we have to stand strong and keep ourselves free of thoughts about anything that we ought not to be familiar with. If we have a weakness for bacon, then we should learn to gently guide our thoughts away from bacon when we find ourselves thinking of it. We should never allow ourselves to think of it. We should learn to tightly reign in our thoughts more than any other thing.

I shall speak of pride for a bit.

Sometimes the urge to spue out all our energy on a subject overtakes us. Often, this takes the form of an attack on someone, mentally or verbally; directly or to another person. This takes away our energy to manage that same kind of outburst in ourselves.

Thus only he who has no sins should cast the first stone, so to speak. If a person is totally incapable of any crime or unvirtuous act in an area, then that person can speak of another person doing that act with derison. Otherwise, the ability to protect one's self against similar acts is lost.

I am reminded of a warning from the Bible,

Agree with thine adversary quickly while thou art in the way with him, lest at any time he shall get thee and thou shalt be cast into prison.

I know of no such statement in Oriental philosophies, but I imagine that if such a statment existed they would change the wording just a bit,

Agree with your adversary quickly so that you do not give away to your adversary your power to protect yourself from evildoing.

With this insight we can often keep our energies to ourselves. When we notice wrongdoing, it is best to let that be a reminder to us to refocus ourselves.

Finally, it seems appropriate to encourage those who have a definite Higher Power that they worship or give allegiance to, to go full bore under the life of that Higher Power. If you do something only when it is cool or convenient or feels cool to you, what advantage in any religion or philosophy do you think you can gain?

The point is to change your life and put all your attachments, righteous agendas, worries and weaknesses at the feet of your chosen Master. You then take up only the one's that that discipline teaches you it is time to take up.

You conform in all things to the identity of your Master. For me, this Master is Jesus Christ. I do not divide you from me by announcing that, I only present to you that I can stand and say that He is my Master and still join arms with you because you also stand and announce that you have a Master and we are both working for a better world.

Often though, whether you are Buddhist or Muslim or Christian or Jewish or Hindu or any other of many religions, the real issue is not that you lack something to make your life healthier, it is that you are simply not using what you have.

I cannot speak of addiction, such a consuming thing that it is, without speaking about the need to really get the identity of your Higher Power. Not so you can throw parties to talk about it, but so that you never have to talk about it because it is so obvious in your presence and your life. You have given yourself wholly to your Master and you have abandoned all those attachments common to ordinary people which keep them in bondage and out of the place of really benefitting from their Masters.

Thanks for reading,

Kal

Dissolving Abnormal Growths with Castor Oil

Kal’s School Newsletter:

A little update:

Kal and Traci are now contributing authors for the Healthier You Newsletter, which you can subscribe to at www.herballegacy.com.

Kal is lecturing on what is possible with herbs at Life Grocery in Marietta, GA on the first Saturday in November. That discussion will be recorded and placed as a promotional download on the home page of KalsSchool.com, so you can go there and listen to it anytime.

Now, the best purpose of a newsletter from a site like KalsSchool.com: This is the first in a series of educational articles that will amplify your ability to do natural healing at home for yourself and your loved ones.

Dissolve Abnormal Growths and So Much More

One of the areas that we have strained at in natural healing is how to dissolve scar tissue, cystic acne scar tissue, cysts, tumors, cancers and so forth.

The answer to this is quite old and yet supported by something that is a fairly new understanding called “Applied Lymphology.”

In order to dissolve any such tissue, it is necessary to keep the cells there free of sitting toxins. One of the reasons that your body does not just decide to dissolve abnormal growths on its own is that there is not great circulation due to the growth! The growth itself obstructs circulation.

Interestingly, cancer is actually much easier to dissolve because it has lots of circulation.

In either case, though, and also in the case of scar tissue, the primary need is to draw off the pooling water and stagnant debris in the area. This stagnant “water” creates conditions where there is no electrical activity in the surrounding cells. Generally, such a condition is just walled off in the body. When the conditions are created such that the stagnant water is removed and electrical activity again gets to the level of healthy cells, the surrounding normal cells will begin to re-take the area, according to genetic design.

As for scar tissue…I used to believe that scar tissue had to be manually broken or dissolved by a solvent in order to remove it. It turns out, though, that the manual breaking process did more for increasing circulation and return of the lymphatic vessels in the area than anything else. The return of lymphatic vessels pulls off stagnant water, sodium, lost blood proteins and pathogenic microorganisms and allows healthy activity to resume.

When the fluid is drawn off effectively, the electrical pumps in the cells begin to operate again and that will start in motion a process of complete regeneration.

This helps explain why some herbs seem to cause spontaneous regeneration—they either remove wastes or stimulate electricity in a certain type of tissue, or both.

This also explains why technology like magnets, the circa 1950’s Zapper, the Acuscope and Myopulse and other electrical field-dependent technology has done so much for health.

Of course, as a natural healer, died in the wool, I want natural options and I also want to remain independent of technology when it comes to my health. I believe that the organic energy and life force of nature is holistically harmonizing to us. Anything else might help us in a pinch, but is ultimately unnatural and that that sours the impact on our bodies.

Our featured natural remedy today is Castor Oil. The highly toxic castor bean may kill you if you eat it, but the oil only retains trace amounts of those toxins. Even so, in my personal practice I do not recommend the use of Castor Oil internally, as I believe it to be too strong for most internal needs.

Externally, though, Castor Oil does some exciting things.

Castor Oil will penetrate slowly, but surely, deep into the tissues below its application point. Castor Oil also does indeed contain solvents that distinguish between healthy cells and abnormal formations.

In healthy cells, Castor Oil will work to clean out the cell and, most importantly, to stimulate the active pumping of the lymphatic system and therefore the electrical generation of the cell which gets good stuff in and toxic stuff out.

In abnormal cells/growths, castor oil will actually act more like a solvent, dissolving them aggressively. The solvent property is the primary reason that we recommend the use of Castor Oil every day if you are trying to dissolve something because the solvent builds in the tissues, working faster and faster as it does. If days are skipped, the reservoir of these solvents begins to run dry. We call this a cumulative effect. That cumulative effect also applies to the removal of toxic fluid and so healthy cells will begin to build a new pattern of maintaining healthier conditions.

I had a client about a year ago who came to me with great pain in the abdomen on account of scar tissue due to multiple surgeries. I recommended Castor Oil massage daily.

In her case, she used a far-infrared tent which sped the movement of the Castor Oil into the skin and so she only used it for about fifteen minutes per day. In one week she was pain free. Eventually, she stopped using it (prior to the time frame I had recommended) and was in pain again in about two more weeks. This time, though, when she started using the Castor Oil, she was pain free the same day.

Until recently, this has very much puzzled me. When I gained the understanding about accumulating fluids and the impact Castor Oil has on that, I realized why it helped so much. This also explains why it seems to help with a wide array of discomforts. You can literally rub it, every day, for ten minutes into an area and get progressive, long-term relief of most conditions!

Generally, I recommend the use of Castor Oil before bed. You just rub it in for several minutes (depending on the size of the area) and then put a little more on a cloth with a plastic bag sewed to the back. This is placed over the area and taped or tied in place or held with tight clothing during sleep. If you get up in the night, you can remove it then.

Since we now understand that the electricity production of the cells is the primary trigger for regeneration and healing and that that process is only possible when oxygen comes in and excess fluids go out of the spaces between the cells, it seems like a good thing to mention several things that cause the fluid to be lost from the blood and to accumulate in the spaces between the cells.

It is useful to know that the fluid between the cells is raising and lowering all the time, even in the healthiest person. This fluid is carried away by the lymphatic tubes that are literally everywhere (you have three times as much lymphatic tubing as blood tubing). Only the unhealthy conditions mentioned below will cause an excess of these fluids to appear and stop the body from spontaneously (and very quickly) regenerating.

Excess protein in the diet, especially from animal sources or from dry, hard beans and seeds. Blood proteins manufactured from this protein does not, for reasons as yet unknown, have the affinity for the blood that the same blood proteins have when made from living plant foods. The loss of the blood proteins from the blood and the settling of them in the spaces between the cells will cause the accumulation of fluids and sodium between the cells, shutting down the cell pumps and clogging lymphatic ductwork. In other words, eat mostly live plant food that has not undergone processing.

Negative thinking, including anger, fear, sadness, irritation, cruelty or speaking unkindly, will cause a sudden, acute loss of blood plasma proteins and every part of the body, almost immediately, enters a diseased state.

Weakening foods that result in inactive lymphatic vessels. This might include any food you are reactive to but especially includes refined foods, breads and sugars and dairy (a double whammy, since it contains animal protein too). It is unknown the impact of chemicals on this process, but generally such chemicals cause dis-cohesion in the blood resulting in all sorts of malfunctions and lost constituents.

Lack of movement will also create blood protein loss and fluid stagnancy. It is valuable here to note that when an area has lost blood proteins a lot, that area is prone to weakness in the future because normal sitting and breathing or minimal activity will not remove these sticky proteins. Therefore, to affect healing, these proteins have to be vigorously pumped away every day. To maintain health, they have to be vigorously pumped away three times per week at least. This means activity which results in bouncing and deep breathing. This is most powerful for healing when happy meditation on the area needing healing is held during the process. You can also put herbs that heal over the area during the process. This will result in rapid healing. Just any movement will not do. Full range of motion, deep breathing and bouncing are the tickets. Some poses cause a flow of lymph too, which might help explain the value of yoga and Tai Chi on healing. In any case, we must move and breathe every day, many times per day, just to maintain basic health.

I hope you have gained some valuable healing data from this newsletter. I appreciate any and all feedback, so please let me know how helpful this was and why.

Thanks,

Pfizer Web Presence

Pfizer got published in the Wall Street Journal recently because it had created a web presence that would allow physicians to have a social interaction on the web with other members and with the company itself.

This hit the news mostly because of the concern it creates ethically.

Physicians are now going to be able to get ongoing "support" for prescribing Pfizer drugs and will get to know how they are prescribed by other physicians. Physicians will, presumably, discover other possible uses for Pfizer drugs, some which might not be approved.

Some of my readers will no doubt think this unlikely and sure to be the exception, not the rule. Actually, though, drugs are frequently prescribed for things they are not approved for.

The perfect example is Prozac which gets prescribed more for things it is not approved for than for things it is approved for!

Of course, I am going to draw a very different conclusion and perspective than the Wall Street Journal. I am using this as an opportunity to point out that our relationship to medical doctors is by no means pristine.

I recently spoke to a young man at a health fair who is attending Medical School and intends to go on to Naturopathic School. The conversation turned to the disdain medical doctors often have for herbalists, nutritionists and the like. I commented to him something that I often say which is that the real problem with the division in this country of conventional medicine and natural medicine stems from drug companies controlling what is taught in medical schools.

I actually was thinking about what I am aware of, which is that drug companies staff the school and licensing boards of medical schools and medical doctors. He upped me though when he revealed to me that every textbook was published by a major drug company at his medical school!

That means that 100% of the education of medical doctors is totally controlled and directly specified by the companies that make money off prolonging illness!

Of course medical doctors are carefully trained to have disdain for anyone who opposes them or their position.

It is a heresy (they say) to preach against vaccinations and drugs and surgeries.

It is a heresy (I say) to go to that route first when natural and alternative options have not even been investigated!

I even challenge, as any who are taking my courses would know, that emergency care should automatically go to the medical doctors or hospitals.

Sometimes that radical approach is appropriate but I would much rather take cayenne pepper than go to the E.R. were I to have a heart attack. I would also much rather that my daughter's bones were available for herbal applications than have them in a cast and her on pain medications.

Everything I learn that is an advancement beyond the last thing I learned leads me to the same conclusion, which is that only an extraordinarily low percentage of cases ever need see a hospital or a doctor. The rest can be handled naturally or with a few natural therapies.

I hope that if you have any interest in handling your own health that you will at least purchase my Layman's Natural Healing Courses and get started taking charge of your own health.

Medtronic Heart Defibrillator Wire Malfunction

In taking on the position as a weblogger on the subject of natural healing and self-healing, it seems only appropriate that I meet certain popular subjects with the insights of this field.

So the recent Wall Street Journal article on the malfunctory defibrillator wires from Medtronic's product seems to stimulate a natural healing response.

First the problem discussed is that the surgically implanted device, designed to deal with abnormal heart beats or fibrillations in a person suffering from that kind of heart disease, uses wires that are breaking and thereby causing an unwanted and useless shock and in at least one case death.

The company discussed the rather rare problem and pointed out that the reality is that the danger from the malfunction is lower than the danger of surgery to fix the problem. Hmmm.

This sounds a little vexing to me. Here is a device that is less dangerous when it malfunctions than when it is surgically introduced or repaired. I wonder then if the device is such a good idea in the first place?

I am not a medical doctor and therefore I am not qualified to decide the dangers and whether they outweigh other risks.

One thing I am sure of and that is the vast majority of people who get defibrillators in the first place could be healed naturally.

I know enough about the healing arts generally to know that there are always cases that stump the practitioner in any part of medicine. We work hard at minimizing this and the best way to minimize it continually appears to be working with people preventatively to change their beliefs and their behaviors so that they never get sick and when they have a problem they respond perfectly to the remedy given.

Still, the rate of success is so high and the rate of risk so low in treating heart disease naturally that it is surely appropriate to discuss those natural options here.

Certainly for hundreds of years and probably for thousands of years nature's heart remedies have shown up to save lives.

The mildest and perhaps best known of these is hawthorn berry and sprig. These contain phyto-meds that cause the heart and the capillaries to take up nutrients more rapidly and thus heal. Hawthorn also contains phyto-meds that fight free-radical damage and lack of enzymes in the heart and cardio-vascular system.

Today, most herbalists worth mentioning include a few other herbs:

Cayenne almost immediately begins to dissolve plaque and deposits on the arteries and lowers blood pressure. It improves circulation with an uncanny ability to ensure the proper distribution of blood supply. In addition to this cayenne has been shown to repair and nourish heart tissue all by itself almost indefinately so that the heart stays strong for life.

I recently encountered a respected colleague who told me about his miracle supplement for the heart that "chealated off plaque in several months, improving year after year."

I always appreciate the efforts of people to help others heal, but frankly that is a bit slow for me. Cayenne runs circles around those figures, cleaning out the cardiovascular system usually in a few short weeks. The trick is using it properly. Cayenne works best when it is taken with water about fifteen minutes before each major meal. This can be done in many ways but the most basic is to take 1/4 teaspoon of it stirred into cool water. I know some people who make up a cayenne-rich master cleanser instead and that sounds good to me.

Garlic: this herb does wonders for high blood pressure and for oxygen flow. If fluid is being managed in the body properly, this will almost certainly make a profound impact on overall cardiovascular health.

Fluids are an issue and one that we will address below, so be patient.

Garlic helps with infection, congestion, immune response and blocked arteries.

Motherwort: this is one of several herbs that effectively normalizes heartbeat. This herb works well and has a rich history for the purpose. I am not saying it is the best one but it is easy to get and it is effective.

Frequently motherwort will be used with something else that works for this specific purpose, sometimes black cohosh, kudzu, shepherd's purse or dong quai will be used with motherwort or alone.

Cactus Grandiflorus: This herb, is a stronger colleague of hawthorn. We did not mention that hawthorn contains cardiac glycosides which will increase nutrient uptake of the heart but will also strengthen heart beat, normalize heart beat and clear excess fluids from around the heart (mentioned below as a major problem in all disease).

Ginger: Ginger has as much power to prevent cardiovascular disease as cayenne. Actually, ginger is slightly different, but that is more advanced herbology as you will get when you take my on-line courses.

Ginger helps ease spasms and prevents and reverses the onset of heart attack and stroke (as does cayenne) and is particularly powerful when used with cayenne.

Ginger also clears upper digestive blockage that can put pressure on the heart.

Red Clover Blossom: Probably could be replaced with kudzu or any number of chelatives that also normalize the heart relative to hormone activity.

Only recently has evidence begun to appear to show that the heart is a key endocrine gland as well as the circulatory organ. Red clover also thins blood and reduces cholesterol.

In addition to a good heart formula (which may or may not resemble the one above) heart disease and heart arrythmia can be dealt with by paying attention to three more factors:

Factor 1: Diet is a key factor. Diet for the heart simply means reducing the load on the heart and on digestion so that the body has a chance to rejuvenate. We live in a world endlessly seeking something to add or take that will fix its problems. The problems though, have far more to do with excess than they have to do with lack. Most people would be fine if they just took the load off of their systems.

Taking a load off means good elimination (which you will learn all about in my cleansing course in my on-line homestudy courses) and it means avoiding foods that are a burden to digest. This means all animal products and processed foods that are enzyme deplete or concentrated. Our rule is 75% raw, live plant food and 25% lightly steamed or low-heated vegetables and sprouted grains and beans. We sprout everything that will sprout. We allow cooked vegetables, potatoes and squash and such but to be used as a small portion of one meal per day and no more. You can jump on this plan at whatever level you are ready for. The closer you get the more results you will see.

Traci's Transformational Kitchen Cookbook and Traci's Transformational Health Principles are now available for purchase and you can look them up on-line or buy the e-copy from this website. These are powerful tools for helping you change your diet and really are the best books of their type to date.

Factor 2: Thoughts and beliefs also can load up our system. Anything we stress over we probably should consider as expendable in our lives. That is to say, if ever we are "stressed" we either need to change our perception or change what we are actually focusing on with our energy.

This is a long discussion that I take well in hand in my self-help series called "Freedom from Bondage" that you can buy on this website.

Basically, though, the rudimentary idea is that you do not have to believe your beliefs and you can choose to believe something different about life. You should work on choosing hope and faith instead of fear, love and kindness (to yourself and others) instead of anger and rash behavior.

Nothing is available through anger that is not twice as easy and sweet through kindness and love.

If you happen to be Christian, I recommend that you take a very serious look at the Sermon on the Mount and take those teachings a little more literally in your life.

Factor 3: Movement of fluid. It has often been suggested that exercise is vital to a healthy heart. Actually, though, the movement of fluid is the key, not exercise per se.

Some exercises, regardless of heartbeat impact, are better than others. Those that pump fluid, require deep breathing and relaxed meditation, bouncing, twisting at the hips or jumping are superior. These are all best done with intermissions of extremely deep breathing and holding the last breath while envisioning the awakening or "turning on" of each major body system, including the heart.

This movement of fluid can also be accomplished by bouncing on a rebounder, getting regular massage or doing dry skin brushing.

The above guidelines for diet will certainly reduce lost and stagnant fluid in your body, but more needs to be done. Almost always when I find out that something is not working to heal a person as it should I find stagnant fluid.

Thoughts and movement are partners with diet in affecting the removal and return of fluids.

Any cell that gets stagnant fluid around it will become sick and malfunctory.

On this note, I am compelled to refer you to a wonderful resource called speed healing or applied lymphology. You can go to www.speedhealing.com and get more information or order the course. This will help fill the gap left by nutrition, thinking and herbal medicine. You will understand many principles being ignored even in the natural healing world.

So to sum things up, you can probably always, but certainly in the vast majority of cases eliminate the need to ever go to a doctor or get a surgery where you are relying on a man-made and therefore flawed piece of technology to save your life. All you have to do is be willing to take charge.

We use specific herbs, diet, fluid movement and thought repatterning to effect a total and permanent cure. Such is possible and inevitable when you follow the path that leads to it.

Take the initiative in your health. This will change everything.

God Bless,

Modern Medicine Problems Arising

In point of fact, modern medicine problems are not new, they are as old as the field itself.

Some of us feel that medicine really should be something people do out of love and transcendent drive and not out of money. Certainly, success in any field means both money AND serving a larger group of people.

The problem, of course, is where do you draw the line? When is it more about money than individuals? Such a line should be carefully gaurded in medicine.

I recently read in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (Oct. 10, 2007 ed.) about a concern over a doctor shortage in Georgia. This problem is not shared nation wide, actually many places have a ridiculous surplus, but some states are spending money to try to fix the problem of too few.

The concern is valid to the extent that you have decided that you are a victim of health problems and injuries just happening to you.

I have long challenged that anyone has to be such a victim, though. Even accidents are arguable, especially if you allow modern metaphysics to blend with ancient ideas of Karma.

In my course set, "Posture and Performance" the issue of "accidents" is soundly dealt with and certainly is not usually just an accident and frequently can be prevented.

As for medical dependence, really it is a matter of intrinsic responsibility to being born that you learn to care for your body. True, a professional who can help you in a harmonious way (when possible) to heal or recover from an injury should it occur is certainly prudent in every area of population.

Even so, natural healing always lends itself to the education of the patient so that they become self-reliant to some extent.

Most natural healers want to teach classes also and share what they can to help people become healers of themselves or even healers of others if they want to.

www.Kalsschool.com is certainly an effort that direction. The school that I originally studied under is also available for a very reasonable fee and is more rounded and less mentor-oriented than my school, but I am happy to recommend it to anyone. It is Dr. Christopher's School of Natural Healing, in Springville, UT.

The so-called shortage of doctors would not be a problem at all if individuals had a grasp on basic care and had to see the doctor a lot less often. I doubt that healing yourself is any more complicated than keeping your house and body clean and neat and keeping your computer working, it just is different information that we never learned.

Even with the alleged shortage that Georgia appears to be facing, there are still 2 doctors for every 1000 people. The modern doctor is not going to educate you like I or any decent natural healer will do, rather he is going to see you for maybe 5 minutes, allowing over an 8-hour day for about 96 patients per day, rounding down for breaks, lets say they can see 80 patients per day (average actual number is more like 100-150), that still allows them to see every one of their fair share of patients twice every 12 days or so.

Of course, the 2 doctors for every 1000 people in Georgia is not the whole story as many of these are specialists, but then I never go to a doctor and many people I know see a doctor less than one time per year.

The real issues that keep being promoted under the guise of medical problems is that people are not taking responsibility and would rather spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, suffer unspeakably and die an early, miserable death than do what it takes to live life to the fullest.

This is a problem that we continue to work on in the self-help field and my Freedom from Bondage courses certainly make a solid contribution there, if not answering the questions completely. People need a different kind of healing when they cannot responsibly make the kind of decisions that affect their life and health at this level. I believe my courses provide that.

If you cannot responsibly choose your diet, health maintenance or learn how to manage those things, pleas consider my courses. They are affordable and easy to listen to. They will change your life and help you get oriented the right direction. They will help you not just know "how" but to be the sort of person who "will" do the responsible thing and thus create a life of great joy and vitality.

Thank You.

Cultivation

Cultivation is the third step in foundational changes. After you have managed the shift in foundation that resulted in more freedom from your inner bondage, then you went for mental reprogramming which gives you power and helps you be the person who will have great success. This is where you learned the laws of attraction and action.

Now you are ready to begin step three: cultivation.

Cultivation is a concept that has many names and the name I have chosen has its origin in Oriental philosophy...very ancient Oriental philosophy.

The idea is that you are not bound by the life experience that is passed down to you from your family or shared with you and reasoned about with you by your fellow humans. Indeed, you can choose a life pattern and trajectory that is far different...for our purposes, of a far higher nature.

If you could graph the most common life experience of humans today, you would have a graph that looks like a mountain range, it climbs up to a point, then it gradually drops off, signifying dying for the last half of one's life.

On the other hand, the cultivator believes in and therefore creates a life graph that looks like a power curve from statistical science. I call it a crescendo life. This life starts low and slow but gets better and better and as it matures begins to improve faster and faster until it literally leaves behind the diseases, thinking, bondage, failure, weakness and closed-mindedness common to ordinary people.

One of the key concepts of cultivation is that of non-attachment. This is at the root of the Tao Te Ching. One lets go of attachments common to ordinary people and thereby separates from the common bondage and self-defeatism and rises naturally by virtue of the hidden true human nature, to places that are extraordinary and that hold prizes beyond the comprehension and science of ordinary people.

The end of cultivation, and even much of the journey is enlightenment. This is where understanding is reached that sees clearly at each level. This is understanding that steps out of what one is and goes into what really is. It is only in enlightenment that truth has any meaning. To all others, truth is but an attachment of assumptions about right and wrong. This serves them at that level, but to move beyond that level, they must sever that attachment.

Cultivators do not sever the choice to live by the standards they believe in, they still live by moral and ethical guidelines, in fact they do it more so and with gusto, since they grasp a new awareness of rejoicing in guidelines that make them distinct from most ordinary people as those guidelines help sever the attachments common to ordinary people.

Truth, though, is something that ordinary people have no grasp on, nor understanding of what it really is. Many concepts are like this and so literally people write (either in literature or in their own minds) myths and fables to attempt to explain that which cannot be explained until you attain a certain level of enlightenment through the process of cultivation.

How does one cultivate? The ways are myraid, but at least one must believe in the concept and move toward it. One must release attachments common to ordinary people, turn from the disturbed condition of humanity and stay in the light toward which they now move and maintain that focus perpetually. They must do good to the best of their ability for the sake of doing good. They must make choices and pursue them because they are the choices that they have made. They must be able to separate attachments to how they feel and what they feel like doing from their actual performance. They must experience the substance of virtue without stopping to revel, as such stopping takes them out of the flow with which true cultivators are one.

Such is the element of cultivation. It is much more, and in the Tao it is suggested that the true way cannot be discussed. This is because the moment we stop to discuss the way, we are out of it for it is that it is and cannot be for any other thing. In other words, it is dynamic and even to hold static thoughts to ponder it takes us out of it. This makes the way very difficult for ordinary people who revel, get depressed, get angry or happy, delighted and proud, attached and competitive. Ordinary people measure what they are by static attachments and never by faith in action.

This is the most powerful step you can make and it makes my approach unique.

On my website, in either the Freedom from Bondage courses or the Layman's Natural Healing and Freedom from Bondage courses, you will get much more continuing discussion about cultivation and understanding of applying it to your life. Please, if you have not already purchased that series, do so now.

Mental Reprograming

After anyone has gone through, or begun to go through foundational changes and has begun to experience separation from their own learned helplessness, they are ready to go to the next step, which is toward creating programs of success.

Most people, even when learned helplessness is out of the way, still find themselves falling grossly short of what they would like to be achieving. In order to achieve more than our current trend, we have to learn the art and science of reprograming.

This is done on several levels. The simplest way to reprogram both mind and body is to use physical aversion therapy. You can learn more about this technique by going to the downloads page on this site. That page is available under the "Free Info" tab when you are logged in. There is a lot of free stuff there and you can put it to good use anytime. Among other things, there are two tools there for reprograming: "Physical Aversion Therapy" and "EFT." These will help you get started.

It is also a reprograming technique every time you go to a higher place with your physical body: For example, when you start exercising, eating more live food, eating more consciously or with more gratitude, doing kinder acts more spontaneously, etc. I did the most transcendent reprograming of my life when I went on a meditation retreat into the mountains. I ate only raw food, swam in a lake at 10k feet and meditated a lot. One of the things I did was to hike to a peak at about 12,100 feet. To get there I had to let go of all the stuff that usually holds me back. I made a decision when I started to let this symbolize my new choice in life. I made it and I have never been the same since.

Reprograming also occurs when you discipline your pattern, inner beliefs and/or your expectations of outcomes.

These are things you get to choose and you can start programing yourself for high success by taking some charge in these areas. Especially powerful is taking charge of your emotions and thoughts when you begin to feel depressed. Depression can take you down, but it is not something you have to believe when it starts to happen to you. You can choose to believe in something very different, think those thoughts and get those results.

Foundational Changes: The River of Life

Foundational changes are what is required if the life program we are running does not support some movement we wish to make in life.

Maybe we are trying to create wealth, become a public speaker, heal a relationship or, a really big one, change a pattern where we keep attracting to ourselves hurtful relationships, people or things.

There is a lot of self-help out there today for everything you can think of. This is a good thing, mostly and I think gives people a little help here and there. Frankly, though, it has not been my experience that most of the self-help available now is all that helpful to the people who need it most. Maybe this is intentional, some trainers might really not feel like it is the best use of their time to "stoop" to those in such bad shape that they cannot even reach up and grasp a perfectly good rope being thrown to them.

On the other hand, what I have consistently found is that if you get right down to the absolute foundation, the origin of the river of life, so to speak, you get better results with everyone and there is no one who is beyond help if they want it.

I have had success working with self-esteem problems, depression, physical disease due to belief systems, relationship problems, and much more. I take the same basic approach and it does not require all that much extra thought. The concept is pretty simple. The foundation has to support healthy interaction with life. That is what I work on and that is what you get from Kal's School's Freedom from Bondage course, which I hope you own or are planning to buy because it is the premeir foundational reconstruction, or, as the title of this section implies, the real shift in your personal river of life.

I like analogy and metaphoric teaching and I am going to spend the rest of the time discussing the analogy we started with: the river of life.

Okay, I concede that the analogy is far from original, and original creativity is something that I prize a great deal. Still, the use you are about to experience is going to maybe make up for that lack of creativity.

Here is what most people do when they discover that their personal rive of life does not flow past something they have decided that they want: they go out and start buying tools to move the river over.

Now if the person should happen to be pretty close to the thing they want, a few shovels, maybe a backhoe or two and they will be right there. On the other hand, if the person is two valleys over and thirty miles away, the shovel and backhoe thing is probably not going to work out.

This is the difference between myself and most people selling "self-help" tools...I don't talk to you at all about your current river, but rather about changing your river way up stream when a week or two of work can make decades of difference downstream!

Maybe you are close enough in some things that you really ought to just buy the traditional tools, but I have a hunch that you, like everyone else, have areas of life that really need to be moved over a couple of valleys. If so, you still might want to invest in the Freedom from Bondage courses so we can give you just the foundation and just the origin of your river of life that you want and need to get just what you want out of life.

We live in an interesting time, a time that can be scary, but it is also a time when humanity is just beginning to consciously participate in their own evolution. Those who are leading out in this are known as "cultural creatives."

This shift is very exciting. It means that poverty, ignorance and hate crime can be rubbed out. It means that scarcity can dissappear from planet earth and abundance can be experienced by all. I throw in with Mark Victor Hansen: "the only lack in the universe is lack of consciousness." This is similar to what Buddha said when he was asked by one if his students, "What are you? Are you a god?" "No," came the reply, "not a god." "Well, are you an angel?" "No, not an angel," Buddha said. "Well what are you?" "I am awake."

There is no shortage of anything to the awake. There is no goal held away from the awake. There is nothing that is beyond the reach of the awake. The illusion is held out today of many things that vie for our attention that keep us dreaming.

This is where the foundational work that I do comes in. I help you to change what you are so that you would rather be awake than asleep. Frankly put, most people would rather be asleep. As long as this persists, the world will continue to whither, having no one to keep and support the abundance that is.

The dream we are in is like a dream gone bad, or a bad trip on acid. There are people hurting one another, pushing one another aside to secure for themselves the illusive wealth of the dream. There are people killing and torturing, controling and hating out of fear of lack. While just below the floating image of the almost universal dream sits a world so full of abundance that trillions could not exhaust its resources and none ever would need to feel left out or hindered, ignorant or slighted. A cruel irony is that some are probably reading this who really believe that I am the dreamer and they are awake! Wow!

I think it is time to wake up. I am going to help you wake up. First, though, we need to help you be the kind of person who wants to wake up, rather than continue dreaming.

That is what I do.

There will be a transition, every waking or partially waking person sees it. There will be a time of creating a special kind of abundance whose end is symbiosis for all.
